Chanel-adopted

Chanel adrives 1/20/25.

She has a pretty sad background in  that she was originally purchased to be a breeding dog and she was shipped to Arkansas. Upon arrival, it was decided to not use her for breeding and she was surrendered to us .

She is 20 months old and 9lbs. She’s small and sweet. She is living indoors and house training well now. She was spayed 1/24/25. We also did a dental scaling and we had x-rays of her back legs. We were told by the person who surrendered that they thought she had luxating patellar (very common in small poodles). She wasn’t showing any sign of pain or oddity in her knees, but we wanted a professional opinion before placing her in her forever home. Our vet tested the knees and did radiographs. He found she does have low grade luxating patellars. Something you could do for her now would be avoiding stairs and having a ramp. She will more than likely eventually need bilateral knee surgery. The x-ray shows zero damaged right now (she is too young) but as time progresses, and as she gets older, the knees will need to be addressed. For this reason we want everyone to know this could be a very expensive journey. Please be mindful of this before applying for adoption for Chanel. You could be signing up for a future vet bill in the neighborhood of  $3,000.   She is Fostered in Hot Springs.

All of our pets are spayed or neutered,  vaccinated, heartworm, tested, micro chipped and in private volunteer foster homes. Adoption fee $350 to approved applicant.
